First Aid Training

First Aid Training

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work.

You can do this through the provision of first aid training.

First aid is the perfect partner to our range of crisis management courses as it’s an important aspect of helping look after people in the immediate aftermath of a crisis. Our course has been designed for all staff, managers, and contractors, giving them the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver first aid if needed.

If you’re looking for a group first aid training course to come to your place of work, we can help. We deliver this expert training course on-site or at your choice of venue across the South East, South West and the Midlands; find out more below.

First Aid Training: What We Do

Our first aid training course has been designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It covers a range of important topics however, we can tailor our training to suit your needs.

Practical skills are covered, like how to deal with an unconscious casualty, as well as the administrative task of record-keeping – an important task when dealing with incidents in the workplace. On completion of the course, participants undergo an assessment and a certificate is issued.

What Are the 3p’s in First Aid?

What Actions Are Prohibited for a First Aider in the UK?

There are limitations on what a First Aider can do in the UK, while they are trained to provide initial medical assistance they can not diagnose medical conditions or provide treatment beyond their training level.

First Aiders should not administer medication, they also cannot provide food or water to the injured person unless directed to by medical professionals as this could worsen the situation.
